Hello!

  • Oct. 3rd, 2009 at 9:15 PM

It's been quite a long time since I've posted here but wanted to share a small revelation.

I was reading my old journal...my old, old journal.  The "chardosha" one.  I have it saved as a .pdf and guess what, I got bored!  How boring my 6 years ago self was.  Anyway, just though I'd share that one.

Carry on.

Goldie - State of Mind

  • Apr. 11th, 2009 at 12:46 AM

I realize the state of mind where you have found me

I’ve turned the page

And rearranged the cause that life has done me

I’ve played the game and felt the pain

But I am stronger now

Like the sun-break through the clouds

Scream and shout

The last one’s out

But It’s not over

I know the mystery’s make a wish and kiss the clover

I’ve played the game and felt the pain

But I am stronger now

Like the sun-break through the clouds

I feel warm rain

Running down my face

I embrace all the love the lies around me

I feel no shame

Nothing to erase

I wouldn’t change a single day that lies before me

Movies

On June 22, I posted a list of films I wanted to catch.  Lets check that list:

Iron Man (yes, I have not seen yet) (update:  still have not seen.  On my Netflix queue for a week from Tuesday)
Kung Fu Panda (I love my animated movies...hence...) (Have not seen)
Wall-E (...aka Johnny 5) (saw it and it warmed my heart cockles)
Get Smart (nope)
I'd see SATC again (saw it 3 times and have that bitch on Netflix to see again on Tuesday)
Wanted (didn't see)
The Dark Knight (saw all 14 hours of it)
The Last Mistress (frenchy period movie with the chick who played King Louis's mistress Du Barry in Marie Antoinette) (saw it Thursday - was very good but more than a little depressing)
The Wackness (Olivia Thirlby from JUNO) (saw it and LOVED it)
Bottle Shock (wine, Snape, Freddy Rodriguez from 6'Under and Bradley Whitford - can't go wrong) (didn't see)
The House Bunny (a serious filme about education and female rites of passage in modern America. Starring Rumer Willis and Holly, Bridgette and Kendra) (saw it)
Choke (Chuck Palahniuk, Sam Rockwell and Angelica Houston) (not out yet, will see)
The X-Files, I Want to Believe (possibly the only movie in this list besides Wall-E that I can drag Steve to) (saw it - gay fucking organ harvesters - fucking weird)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Christmas) (can't wait for it)
Burn After Reading (Coen Bros newest) (saw it tonight)

I've also see Vicky Christina Barcelona (twice - loved it that much), Mamma Mia (eh), Brideshead Revisited (twice - so revisited revisited), Man on Wire, Tropic Thunder, Traitor.  I have to be missing a few.  I spend more on movies than I do on gas.

Upcoming films that I want to see:
The Duchess (Steve calls it The Douches, kills me every time)
Rachel Getting Married
W.
Frost/Nixon
Saw V (psych!)
Quantum of Solace
Twilight (!!!!!! - I better have a date with Leasha and CL for this one)
The Soloist
Australia
Milk
The Brothers Bloom (Rachel Weisz, Adrian Brody and Ruffalo - looks kind of heisty, I can't ask for anything more)
I feel like I have left a lot off of this list.  I will update accordingly.

Weird Divide

Weird Divide

Several days a month you made
The mile to my house,
And had me do a stroll with you.

Far below a furry moon
Our purposes crossed
The weird divide
Between our kinds

The silver leaves of ailing trees
Took flights as we passed so long ago
But a short time i know.

It pleases me this memory
Has swollen up with age.
Even time can do
Good things to you.

Please come visit my humble town in Switzerland, named Chardoville...

It is a quaint village in the center of the Alps, but it will one day grow strong and prosperous...towering over all other Mini Cities.
Free army knife (with 512 MG flash drive!) and chocolate samples for all!

You're the prince to my ballerina
You feed other people's parking
meters
You encourage the eating of ice cream
You would somersault in sand
with me

You talk to loners, you ask how's your week
You give love to
all and give love to me
You're obsessed with hiding the sticks and
stones
When I fear the unknown
You feel like home, you feel like
home

You put my feet back on the ground
Did you know you brought me
around
You were sweet, and you were sound
You saved me

You're the
warmth in my summer breeze
You're the ivory to my ebony keys
You would
share your last jelly bean
You would somersault in sand with me

You
put my feet back on the ground
Did you know you brought me around
You were
sweet and you were sound
You saved me

You put my feet back on the
ground
Did you know you brought me around
You were sweet and you were
sound
See I had shrunk yet still you wore me around
And 'round and 'round

Somersault

Sea Legs

Sea Legs

Of all the churning random hearts
Under the sun
Eventually
fading into night,
These two are opening now
As we lie, I touch
you
wonderful alive

Girl, if you're a seascape
I'm a listing boat,
for the thinker there's every hope.
I invest in a single life
The choice
is yours to be loved
Come away from it empty of... but us

'Cause when
the dead moon
Rises again
be no time to stall or protocol
To hem us
in.
And when the dog slides
Underneath a train,
There's no cry, no use
to searching for
the mutt's remains.

Throw all consequence
aside
and a cheerless pyre we will set alight.

Of all the intersecting
lines in the sand
I routed a labyrinth to your lap
and never used a map
sliding off the land
On an incidental tide,
And along the way you know,
they tried
They tried

But we got sea legs
And we're off
tonight
They can't have that to which they've no right
You belong to a
simpler time
I'm a victim to the impact of these words,
And this
rhyme.

'Cause when that dead moon
Rises again
We've no time to
stall or protocol
To hem us in
Darling when the dog slides open the door,

and where’d she go?
There's no time, no use in searching for
The
mutt's remains.

Throw all consequence aside
And a cheerless pyre we
will set alight
